Do I have to live in your program's town to take adult education classes?

No. We serve people from all over the state of Maine, any resident of Maine can register for our Academic or Enrichment courses.

How do I get a copy of the MMRACE brochure?

We deliver copies to local businesses in Waterville and Winslow. Our brochure is mailed to Belgrade, China, South China, Rome, Sidney and Waterville residents. You're always welcome to stop by our office and pick up a copy in person as well.

What are the Storm Delay Procedures?

The Waterville Public Schools Superintendent will make the announcement of a delay and send an email out to all staff & K-12 learners that there is a delay.

  • 1 Hour Delays do not affect our Adult Education schedule as our classes are not scheduled to start until 9:00am.

  • If there is a 2-hour delay, we will delay all courses 1 hour to match up with the K-12 schedule of start of classes. Example: 2 hour delay means that our first class will start at 10:00 instead of 9:00.

How will I know if my class is cancelled due to weather?

If Waterville Public Schools are cancelled during the day due to weather, there are no adult education academic or enrichment classes at the Waterville site.

If RSU 18/Messalonskee Public Schools are cancelled during the day due to weather, there are no adult education enrichment classes at the Messalonskee site.

If a storm should start during the day, we will make the decision to cancel classes by 4:00 p.m. The announcement will be made on our web page, Facebook page, and there will be a voice message on our telephone. Students will receive an email with information regarding their class. As is always the case, the student must use his/her own judgement whether to venture out or not.

How is MMRACE Funded?

All of our enrichment classes are self supporting through the fees paid by the students enrolled.

We have several grants which make many of our courses self supporting.

We also receive money from the State of Maine for many of our academic students.

This revenue allows us to offer a great variety of academic and enrichment courses to our communities.

How do I request a copy of my diploma/transcript?

Please call our office at 207-873-5754, you will need to provide an email address to have the Transcript Request Form emailed to you or stop by our Waterville office during open hours for a physical copy.
