College, Career & Workforce Programs

Most of our College, Career and Workforce programs are free to all Maine residents, 17 and older, who are no longer enrolled in school. Call our office at (207) 873-5754 or email adulted@watervillek12.org to schedule an intake meeting. Our team will guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.

About the Program

Ready to advance your career or pursue further education? The Maine College Career Access (MCCA) Program is a state-funded grant program designed to assist those seeking post-secondary training or enrollment to further their career pathway. We offer a variety of short-term workforce training programs and partner with various employers to help you develop your own pathway! Additionally, we work closely with area colleges to ensure a smooth transition into higher education. If you have a dream and the desire, we have the tools to help you reach your goal. COLLEGE TRANSITIONS

We understand the importance of a seamless transition into college. That’s why we work closely with local colleges, ensuring a smooth pathway for our participants. With personalized support and guidance, we empower you to navigate the complexities of higher education and realize your ambitions.


Learners in this program may receive support in financial aid (scholarships, FAFSA), admissions (application support, college tours), choosing the right college and major, navigating college expectations and systems, skill building (prep courses and tutoring).


CAREER PREPARATION

Are you eager to unlock your full potential and thrive in today’s dynamic workforce? We offer free post-secondary counseling to help you chart your course toward academic and career success. From crafting educational plans to exploring career opportunities, our Academic Student Coordinator is here to guide you every step of the way. Learners in this program may work on: Choosing a career, transitioning from/to a career, resume and cover letter support, application and interview support, and more!
